L & R Joinery are Derby-based joiners and carpenters covering Mickleover, Derbyshire, about 3 miles from our base.
Mickleover stretches from the older village centre along Station Road, with its characterful pre-war properties and local shops, out to the large modern housing developments at Hackwood Farm and Radbourne Lane. This range means we carry out all kinds of joinery work here, from fitting bespoke kitchens in 1930s semis to installing contemporary wardrobes and doors in brand-new builds. The area's family-oriented demographic means there's always demand for practical, well-built joinery that looks great and lasts. We also serve neighbouring Littleover, the wider Derby area, and Ashbourne to the north-west.
Local Knowledge
Homes & Joinery in Mickleover
Mickleover's old village core around Station Road and The Square has pre-war houses and cottages, while Hackwood Farm, Radbourne Lane and the surrounding developments have added a large number of new family homes on the western edge of Derby.
On newer houses we're usually asked to replace standard doors, add fitted wardrobes and lay better flooring. The older homes often need their kitchens refitted and storage built into tight, awkward rooms.

What Customers in Nearby Derby Say
"Anton is a true craftsman and a consummate professional. What initially seemed like a straightforward door job turned out to be much more challenging, but Anton handled it with precision and skill. His workmanship is immaculate, and the doors fit perfectly thanks to his attention to detail. You can tell he's an expert not just from the quality of the finish, but also from the professional tools and techniques he uses. Once you've had Anton work on your home, you won't be looking for another joiner, that's for sure!"
