L & R Joinery are Derby-based joiners and carpenters covering Castle Donington, Leicestershire, about 8 miles from our base.
Castle Donington is a historic village with a charming high street and a mix of period properties and newer homes on its outskirts. The older cottages and townhouses in the village centre often need careful joinery work: period-style internal doors, built-in shelving, and kitchen fitting that suits the character of the property. The newer developments around the village and neighbouring Kegworth, Diseworth, and Hemington provide opportunities for modern fitted wardrobes, contemporary kitchens, and flooring. With Long Eaton, Derby, Loughborough, and Melbourne all nearby, we're well-placed to serve this part of the East Midlands.
Local Knowledge
Homes & Joinery in Castle Donington
Castle Donington is a North West Leicestershire village with a conservation-area centre of brick cottages and Georgian houses. Donington Park and East Midlands Airport are nearby, and Kegworth, Diseworth and Hemington add a mix of older village homes and newer estates.
Because the airport and the logistics parks are nearby, many people here work shifts. We plan jobs to fit around that, and many homeowners want a garden office or a spare room fitted out as a workspace.

What Customers in Nearby Derby Say
"Anton is a true craftsman and a consummate professional. What initially seemed like a straightforward door job turned out to be much more challenging, but Anton handled it with precision and skill. His workmanship is immaculate, and the doors fit perfectly thanks to his attention to detail. You can tell he's an expert not just from the quality of the finish, but also from the professional tools and techniques he uses. Once you've had Anton work on your home, you won't be looking for another joiner, that's for sure!"
